birthday rant

Nikon sent me an estimate for my camera and it's a major repair so it will be 104.00. I really can't handle all the things we need to buy. All I want for my birthday is money to get my camera fixed and baby stuff. That is really all I want and it would excite me very much, but people usually don't listen. I've been dropping hints to Mike but he's a man. I wish I could avoid birthdays. I've never looked forward to them and wish I could just skip it. It's not a "grumpy" thing, I just don't celebrate it. But I love to celebrate Lucy's (minus her getting older).

Mike and I are going to watch a pregnancy documentary now, preferably not while eating. I don't think he can stomach it but he needs to get ready too!

Also: good news. Our neighbor across the street came up to me at the mailbox and asked if we were from Mass because of our stickers on the Jeep. He's from Martha's Vineyard! It's so nice to know that we are not the only New Englanders stuck here. He hates it here too! Maybe we will bond.
